Resembling a Hikikomori’s version of the classic children’s book The Lonely Doll, this book gathers a photographs of a blond Barbie Doll put in compromising poses throughout a cluttered apartment. The doll is lovingly dressed in racy, diminutive lingerie, which contrasts with the pathetically discarded pizza boxes, candy wrappers, and dirty laundry otherwise strewn about. Overlain with scribbles and doodles, the images visually resemble Manga and create an unguarded peek into the emotional climate of Otaku culture.
